North Oaks Cardiologist to Help Lead American Heart Association

Jherie Ducombs, MD, FACC, 被选为 American Heart Association (AHA) Southeast Board of Directors. Dr. Ducombs will serve on the board during the association’s 2020-2021 fiscal year. The AHA is the world’s leading voluntary organization dedicated to building 更健康的生活, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. Ducombs is a Cardiologist with North Oaks Cardiology Clinic and serves as assistant chief medical officer of North Oaks Health System and chairman of the Network Operations Council for North Oaks Physician Group.

Dr. Ducombs is passionate about patient safety and heart disease prevention, which was highlighted when she was chosen as one of 10 2019 “Women in Medicine” honorees by the AHA-Greater New Orleans. The Women in Medicine recognition award is given to 10 local female leaders who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to the field of medicine and have made a local impact on health care in New Orleans.
